Getting Help

For legal help, find the free legal aid program that serves your county on the MichiganLegalAid.org web site, which you can access through the link on the left column.  You can also call the State Bar's lawyer referral service at 1-800-968-0738, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4:30 PM.

The Center for Civil Justice Food and Nutrition Program Helpline is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM until 5 PM.  If you can’t call during those times, you can leave a message with the times that you are available and someone will return your call.  Please be sure to include your area code along with phone number.  DO NOT leave us your Social Security Number on your message. 

If you have basic questions concerning your food stamp case, you can call ASK MICH (1-855-275-6424), where you will speak with a DHS Customer Service Representative, and access your DHS case.
